The ratio of analytes is determined directly from the responses of the analytes using a conversion method. Individual analyte responses are obtained by using a selected measuring tech-nique, and these individual responses are used as the independent variables in a conversion method. The dependent variable of conversion method is the desired analyte ratio. The resulting conversion method is then used to directly calculate the de-sired ratio of analytes as a function of the mea-sured responses. No intermediate conversions, such as using a calibration curve to convert indi-vidual measured analyte responses to concentra-tion values, are needed to obtain the desired ratio.

La présente invention concerne la détermination du rapport de substances à analyser directement à partir des réponses desdites substances au moyen dun procédé de conversion. Les réponses des substances à analyser individuelles sont obtenues au moyen dune technique de mesure sélectionnée, et ces réponses individuelles sont utilisées en tant que variables indépendantes dans un procédé de conversion. La variable dépendante du procédé de conversion constitue le rapport de substance à analyser souhaité. Le procédé de conversion en résultant est alors utilisé pour calculer directement le rapport souhaité de substances à analyser en tant que fonction des réponses mesurées. Pour obtenir le rapport souhaité, il nest pas nécessaire de recourir à des conversions intermédiaires, telles que lutilisation dune courbe détalonnage convertissant des réponses de substances à analyser individuelles en valeurs de concentration.
