Vapor-phase vinyl polymerization fouling in monomer systems is inhibited by the use of an effective amount of an antipolymerant selected from stable free radicals, volatile alkylamines, or both. The preferred nitroxide is 3,6- dihydro-2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-1(2H)-pyridinyloxy, and the preferred alkylamines are primary and secondary amines of methyl, ethyl, and propyl alkyls.
La présente invention concerne l'inhibition de l'encrassement par polymérisation vinylique en phase vapeur dans des systèmes monomériques. Cette inhibition est réalisée grâce à l'utilisation d'une quantité appropriée d'un agent anti-polymérisation pouvant être des radicaux libres stables, des alkylamines volatiles ou les deux. Le nitroxyde préféré est 3,6-dihydro-2,2,6,6-tétraméthyl-1(2H)-pyridinyloxy et les alkylamines préférées sont des amines primaires et secondaires de méthyl, éthyl et propyl alkyles.
