A method using radio frequency identification (RFID) tags for managing a promotional merchandise display at locational spots in a store includes providing a locational spot in the store with a locational RFID tag uniquely identifying the locational spot, providing the locational spot with the promotional merchandise display associated with merchandise RFID tags, wherein each of the merchandise RFID tags uniquely identifies one or more products in the promotional merchandise display, scanning for radio frequency signals from the locational RFID tag and the merchandise RFID tags at or near the locational spot, transmitting information obtained from the scanning to a server, analyzing the information at the server for a determination of whether the promotional merchandise display is in compliance with a promotional display plan; and if not, generating a notice to the store, the notice including information relating to the locational spot and the promotional merchandise display.

L'invention porte sur des étiquettes d'identification par radiofréquences (RFID) pour gérer un affichage de marchandise promotionnel à des emplacements dans un magasin, qui consiste à : doter un emplacement dans le magasin d'étiquette RFID d'emplacement identifiant de manière unique l'emplacement, doter l'emplacement de l'affichage de marchandise promotionnel associé aux étiquettes RFID de marchandise, dans lesquelles chacune des étiquettes RFID de marchandise identifie de manière unique un ou plusieurs produits dans l'affichage de marchandises promotionnel, balayer pour rechercher des signaux radiofréquence provenant de l'étiquette RFID d'emplacement et des étiquettes RFID de marchandise dans ou près de l'emplacement, transmettre des informations obtenues à partir du balayage à un serveur, analyser les informations au niveau du serveur pour déterminer si ou non l'affichage de marchandises promotionnel est en accord avec un plan d'affichage promotionnel ; et sinon, générer une notification au magasin, la notification comprenant des informations concernant l'emplacement et l'affichage de marchandises promotionnel.
