Lyophilized compositions of TFPI or a TFPI variant suitable for long-term storage can be formed by lyophilizing an aqueous formulation of the TFPI or TFPI variant having a pH from about 4 to about 8 with a carbohydrate or amino acid glass forming agent. These lyophilized compositions are stable for greater than three months when stored at 40~C.

Cette invention concerne des compositions lyophilisées renfermant un inhibiteur de la voie du facteur tissulaire (TFPI) ou une variante d'un TFPI et pouvant être stockées à long terme. Ces compositions peuvent être obtenues grâce à la lyophilisation d'une formulation aqueuse comprenant le TFPI ou une variante du TFPI présentant un pH compris entre environ 4 et 8 ainsi qu'un agent formateur de verre d'acides aminés ou de carbohydrate.
