The retroviral vector comprises at least one heterologous gene and functional env and gag-pol genes are absent from the vector so that retrovirus structural proteins are not expressed by the target cells infected and transduced by the vector.

L'invention porte sur des séquences d'ADN utilisées pour créer, soit in vivo soit en vitro, une réplication de cellules productrices d'un vecteur de rétrovirus déficient, en vue de leur réimplantation. Le vecteur de rétrovirus, qui contient au moins un gène hétérologue, ne contient aucun gène fonctionnel env et gag-pol, de sorte que les protéines structurelles du rétrovirus ne sont pas exprimées par les cellules cibles infectées, transduites par le vecteur.
