A spring (50) for linear compressors has a pair of first mounting points (54) for securing to a first body. The spring (50) has at least one second mounting point (52) for securing to a second body which is reciprocable relative to the first body. A spring arm (52) spans between each of the first mounting points (54) by way of the second mounting point (52). In the preferred embodiment the sections of spring arm (53) extending between the first mounting points (54) and the second mounting point (52) include lengths which are of substantially constant radius of curvature. The spring (50) is to be constructed from a length of high fatigue strength wire bent into the required shape reducing the number of operations required in its manufacture.

L'invention concerne un ressort (50) pour compresseur linéaire qui comporte une paire de premiers points de montage (54) aux fins de fixation à un premier corps. Le ressort (50) comprend au moins un second point de montage (52) aux fins de fixation à un second corps, en interaction réciproque par rapport au premier corps. Un bras de ressort (52) s'étend entre les deux premiers points de montage (54) via le second point de montage (52). En mode de réalisation préféré, les parties du bras de ressort (53)qui s'étendent entre les premiers points de montage (54) et le second point de montage (52) comprennent des longueurs à rayon de courbure sensiblement constant.
