A table top (12) provided with a paper-organizing and storing structure (31) fixedly positioned along an edge of the table top. The structure includes a wall (39) which extends along but is spaced slightly outwardly from the edge (17) of the table top. The wall (39) in cooperation with the adjacent edge defines a downwardly opening pocket (38) recess which in a preferred embodiment is sloped to project partially under the table top. This pocket (38) enables papers to be inserted downwardly into the pocket through an upper open mouth (34) thereof. The depth of the pocket (38) causes the upper portion of the paper to bear against the free edge (35) of the wall and project upwardly a small extent above the upper top surface, whereby the user can readily access and visually inspect at least the upper portion of the paper while it is stored in the pocket (38).

L'invention concerne un dessus de table (12) pourvu d'une structure (31) de classement et de rangement de documents, laquelle est fixée le long d'un bord du dessus de table. La structure comprend une paroi (39) qui s'étend le long du bord (17) du dessus de table mais elle est légèrement espacée vers l'extérieur par rapport au bord (17). La paroi (39) définit en association avec le bord adjacent une poche à ouverture vers le bas (38) qui, dans un mode préférentiel de réalisation, décrit une pente d'inclinaison en partant partiellement sous le dessus de table. Cette poche (38) permet d'y introduire des documents au travers d'une embouchure supérieure (34). La profondeur de la poche (38) est telle que la partie supérieure du document repose contre le bord libre (35) de la paroi et fait saillie vers le haut sur une petite distance au-dessus de la surface supérieure du dessus de table afin que l'utilisateur puisse avoir un accès rapide à ces documents et en voir au moins la partie supérieure lorsqu'ils sont placés dans la poche.
