Method for comparing selections of two respective parties from a predetermined range comprising the steps of selecting a range of values, selecting at least one committed value (x, y) of said range by a sending party, composing a commitment message by each party, including control numbers corresponding respectively with each one value of said range, oblivious transfer by each party of its commitment message to the other party, and verification by the receiving party of said received commitment message including checking of the presence of at least one committed value.

L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de comparer les sélections de deux parties respectives à partir d'une plage prédéterminée, lequel procédé comprend les étapes suivantes: une plage de valeurs est sélectionnée, une partie émettrice choisit au moins une valeur engagée (x, y) de ladite plage, chaque partie compose un message d'engagement comprenant des numéros de contrôle correspondant respectivement à chaque valeur de ladite plage, chacune des parties transmet son message d'engagement à l'autre partie par transfert inconscient, la partie réceptrice vérifie ledit message d'engagement reçu, notamment la présence d'au moins une valeur engagée.
