ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method of spin welding manufacture of a plastic pallets. Each pallet consists of two deck surfaces thermoplastically welded to either end of cup-shaped spacers interposed between the deck surfaces. The method of manufacture consists of assembling the deck surfaces with the cup-shaped spacers therebetween, engaging the cup-shaped spacers with a torque application tool, on a surface exposed through apertures in one of the deck surfaces, spinning the cup-shaped spacer to generate friction heat along surfaces of contact between the deck surfaces and the cup-shaped pacers to melt the thermoplastic material along those surfaces of contact, ending the spinning of the spacer and allowing the melted thermoplastic material to set.
