The invention relates to a switching element (1) for the valve gear of an internal combustion engine, preferably for deactivating a valve. Said element comprises an outer section (2), in addition to an inner element (4) that can be axially displaced in the bore (3) of the outer section. According to the invention, the outer section (2) and the inner element (4) are displaced away from one another by the action of lost-motion spring elements (5) and can be coupled together in an axially-distant relative position, whereby at least one plunger (6), which is situated in a bore (7) that runs transversally through the inner element (4), is applied as the coupling element. An annular groove (8), into which the plunger (6) can be partially displaced to adopt its coupling position, is configured in the bore (3) of the outer section (2). Some sections of the underside (9) of the plunger (6) have a flat transversal surface (11), which leads from the outer radial front face (10) of the plunger and acts as a contact zone for an opposing annular surface (12) of the annular groove (8) and the plunger is held in the inner element (4) by means of a rotational lock (13). Stop elements (15) are allocated to an inner radial front face (14) of the plunger (6) for the uncoupling position of the latter and a single component forms the rotational lock (13) and stop elements (15).
L'invention concerne un élément de commande (1) destiné à un mécanisme de distribution d'un moteur à combustion, de préférence pour la mise hors circuit d'une soupape. Cet élément de commande comprend une partie extérieure (2), ainsi qu'un élément intérieur (4) mobile axialement dans le logement (3) ménagé à l'intérieur de celle-ci, ladite partie extérieure (2) et ledit élément intérieur (4) étant écartés l'un de l'autre par des moyens à ressort à perte de mouvement (5) et pouvant être couplés l'un à l'autre dans une position dans laquelle ils sont éloignés l'un de l'autre axialement. Au moins un piston (6) est utilisé comme moyen de couplage, ce piston étant disposé dans un logement (7) s'étendant transversalement à travers l'élément intérieur (4). Dans le logement (3) ménagé dans la partie extérieure (2) est formée une rainure annulaire (8) dans laquelle le piston (6) peut être déplacé partiellement pour prendre sa position de couplage. Ledit piston (6) présente sur une partie de sa face inférieure (9), à partir de sa face radialement extérieure (10), une surface transversale plane (11) servant de zone de contact avec une surface annulaire opposée (12) de la rainure annulaire (8) et il est guidé dans l'élément intérieur (4) par l'intermédiaire d'un dispositif anti-rotation (13). Des moyens de butée (15) sont associés à une face radialement intérieure (14) du piston (6) pour la position de désaccouplement de celui-ci. Selon l'invention, le dispositif anti-rotation (13) et les moyens de butée (15) sont formés d'une seule et même pièce.
