A mouth piece for an inhaler has a mouth tube containing an atomizer path. The atomizer path has first and second channel sections. The first channel section has at least one baffle, while the second channel section has first and second channel portions located on a first lower and a second higher level, respectively. The first portion of the second channel section is located on the lower level and has an enlarged volume so as to deposit coarser particles contained in an air stream, which are ineffective for inhalation. The second portion of the second channel section is located on the higher level and is in communication with the outlet, so that only particles having a size effective for inhalation are transported by the air stream to the second, higher level and through the outlet of the mouth tube. The outlet has the shape of a horizontally arranged slit provided in the end face of the mouth tube.
