A freeze protection system for a car wash facility having a plurality of bays and having exposed water lines located in an area that is subjected to freezing temperatures. By using a temperature probe connected via a digital temperature meter to a microprocessor, the system will only operate when the temperature is lower than a pre-set value and will shut off when the temperature is higher than a pre-set value. When activated, a predetermined charge of antifreeze mist will purge the piping in each bay, leaving only a small residual of antifreeze. When a bay is used, the system is reactivated, purging only the bay that has been used. The system is easily adaptable to any number of bays or areas of piping that must by protected.
Cette invention concerne un système de protection contre le gel destiné à un lave-auto à postes multiples et tuyauteries d'eau exposées dans une zone où la température peut baisser sous le point de congélation. Le système comprend une sonde de température raccordée à un microprocesseur via un thermomètre numérique et n'entre en fonction qu'en deçà d'une température de consigne donnée et se ferme lorsque la température ambiante dépasse le point de consigne. La protection est assurée par injection d'une charge prédéterminée de brouillard antigel dans la tuyauterie d'eau de chaque poste de lavage et vidange n'y laissant qu'une petite quantité de solution antigel. Après utilisation d'un poste de lavage, le système est réactivé de façon à vidanger la tuyauterie du seul poste à voir été utilisé. Modulaire, le système peut être étendu à autant de postes de lavage ou tuyauteries que l'on veut.
