A composition for use as a liner, in particular for preventing spalling of rock particles and falls of ground at rock excavation sites, for the lining of swimming pools or any other water proofing application such as concrete coating for corrosion and environmental damage protection is provided. The composition includes a water-based dispersion of polyurethane and a cementitious material. The cementitious material and the dispersion are mixed together to form a polymer concrete comprising an interpenetrating network of inorganic and organic polymers. Anhydrous calcium sulphate forms part of the cementitious material to improve the hardening and curing properties of the liner. Epoxy is a further component of the liner, thereby to improve the adhesion properties of the liner.
La composition décrite est utile comme revêtement, notamment pour prévenir l'effritement de particules de rochers et des éboulements de terrain dans des sites d'excavation de rochers, pour revêtir des piscines ou pour toute autre application d'imperméabilisation à l'eau, telles que le revêtement du béton pour éviter la corrosion ou des dommages à l'environnement. La composition comprend une dispersion à base d'eau de polyuréthanne et d'un matériau cimentaire. On mélange le matériau cimentaire et la dispersion pour former un béton polymère qui comprend un réseau de polymères organiques et inorganiques qui s'interpénètrent. Le sulfate naturel anhydre de calcium fait partie du matériau cimentaire afin d'améliorer les propriétés de durcissement et de consolidation du revêtement. La résine époxy est un autre composant du revêtement, ce qui améliore l'adhérence du revêtement.
