ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention describes a process and the associated means that permits semen to separate into a fraction that contains almost exclusively spermatozoa with female chromosomes and a fraction that contains almost exclusively male chromosomes. To this end, the semen is first diluted with a glucose solution and homogenized, and placed in a tube that is connected through a hose to a second tube that contains a pure glucose solution. Gentle kneading of the tube causes the liquid to flow back and forth between the two tubes. The whole process takes place at a temperature of 38 C to 39 C, and is continued for a period of 15 to 30 minutes. It has been shown that when this is done, the spermatozoa with almost exclusively female chromosomes migrate into the tube, whereas the spermatozoa with almost exclusively male chromosomes remain in the tube.
