ABSTRACT An intermediate layer containing polymeric fine particles having a cross-linking structure with a particle diameter of 0.2 to 5.0µm and an inorganic pigment having an oil absorption of less than 170 ml/100g in a ratio of 1:1 to 1:9 is provided between a substrate and a thermal color developing layer, thereby providing a thermal recording sheet having superior dot reproducibility and image quality, with no sticking or adherence of residue.
