Cet axe de volant ayant un corps tubulaire cylindrique (1) de section circulaire comporte une partie profilée (8) formant organe de blocage. Dans cette partie (8) des rainures longitudinales (10), ayant une largeur qui correspond à celle d'un pêne de verrouillage, ont une profondeur au moins égale à l'épaisseur de la paroi du tube initial et sont séparées par des nervures pleines (12). Sur la face interne de l'organe (8) des bossages délimitent entre eux des rainures en V dont les sommets correspondent sensiblement à la partie médiane des nervures. Chaque nervure (12) a ainsi une résistance suffisante pour contrecarrer le couple exercé lors d'une tentative de vol. Chaque rainure peut recevoir le pêne dans une position de blocage. L'axe comporte au moins deux rainures (10). Fig. 2
