In a PLD (personal lighting device), the circuit is known to coherently react to the tempo, frequency and amplitude of the immediate audible environment. The circuit will operate with equal functionality in both normal conversation sound levels and loud level sound environments such as nightclubs or discos by selectively choosing the dominant tones and beats as a basis for output. This action is accomplished by the combination of the three different functional blocks within the circuit, the amplifier front-end, the CPU stage, and the output stage. All three blocks working together will result in an electronically operated output which will represent the rhythm of the music in the immediate environment. Typical portable battery applications for this circuit will include music responsive jewelry, Christmas ornaments, clothing, shoes, party lighting and toys. The PLD circuit is comprised of both electronic hardware and software, and therefore is related to the technical field of electronics.
