An assay device is made by combining a polynucleic acid with a molten material capable of solidifying into a solid thermoplastic or thermosetting material and then allowing the molten material to solidify. The thus-formed thermoplastic solid material has at least some molecules of the polynucleic acid exposed on the surface of the thermoplastic solid material in an orientation wherein the polynucleic acid is bindable to a binding partner by specific binding. The invention further relates to a solid phase substrate having a polynucleic acid embedded therein. The invention further relates to the use of a solid phase substrate having a polynucleic acid embedded therein for hybridization assays and immunoassays to detect anti-nucleic acid antibodies.
La présente invention concerne un dispositif d'essai obtenu, d'abord par combinaison d'un acide polynucléique avec une matière fondue capable, en se solidifiant, de donner une matière thermoplastique solide ou thermodurcissable, puis par solidification de la matière fondue. La matière solide thermoplastique ainsi formée comporte au moins quelques molécules d'acide polynucléique apparentes sur la surface de la matière solide thermoplastique occupant une orientation par laquelle l'acide polynucléique est capable de se lier à un partenaire de liaison au moyen d'une liaison spécifique. L'invention concerne également un substrat en phase solide dans lequel est inclus l'acide polynucléique. L'invention concerne enfin l'utilisation d'un substrat en phase solide dans lequel est inclus l'acide polynucléique pour des essais d'hybridation et des essais immunologiques permettant de détecter des anticorps dirigés contre ces acides nucléiques.
