What is described herein are antimicrobial compositions which are defined blends of a l,2-diol and pbenoxyethanol which show broad activity against bacteria, fungi and mold spores. This activity is potentiated by the addition thereto of small amounts of a co-biocide for which the blend acts as a delivery system for the otherwise water-insoluble co-biocide.

La présente invention a trait à des compositions antimicrobiennes qui sont des mélanges définis de 1,2 diol et de phénoxyéthanol présentant une activité globale contres des bactéries, des champignons et des spores de moisissure. Cette activité est potentialisée par l'addition aux dits mélanges de faibles quantités d'un biocide conjoint pour lequel les mélanges agissent comme système d'administration pour le biocide autrement non hydrosoluble.
