ABSTRACT "Improvements relating to Vending Machines" A vending machine has a cabinet (1) with a window (2) behind which is a user-manipulable suction device. This may be disguised as a toy elephant's head (7), a suction hose (8) being concealed within the trunk. A reservoir visible within the cabinet (1) contains items to be sold, and the suction device can be manoeuvred to pick up a selected one and deliver it to a chute, release of the suction allowing the item to descend to a user-accessible pocket (5). The movements of the suction device are conveniently controlled by a joystick (4).
