The device comprises instruments for collection and recording of signals in seismic exploration of the substratum off-shore. The device is designed as a pole which is adapted to be forced down into the seabed and comprises a pointed lower end, an intermediate approximately cylindrically-shaped main portion, and a vibration-absorbing spacer between the pointed end and the intermediate main portion. The other end of the intermediate main portion is connected to a top part designed for inserting/pulling, and other ways of handling the device. The pointed end at least comprises geophones, and a hydrophone is placed in the vicinity of the upper end of the device. The majority of the device's other instruments are placed in the intermediate main portion. The device is connected to a main cable which extends to a seismic ship.
