Process for manufacturing a welded pipe from a metal strip having two longitudinal edges approximately parallel to each other, which are brought together so as to come approximately into contact with each other and thus form an unwelded pre-tube. The two edges are then welded together to obtain a welded metal pipe by using a hybrid arc/laser welding process in which at least one laser beam and at least one electric arc are used approximately simultaneously. This process can be used to produce weld seams of rectilinear, helicoidal or spiralled shape.
Procédé de fabrication de tuyaux soudés à partir d'une bande en métal comprenant deux bords longitudinaux presque parallèles. Les deux bords sont rapprochés de manière à presque se joindre et à former un prototube non soudé. Les deux bords sont ensuite soudés ensemble pour former un tuyau en métal soudé par un procédé hybride de soudage à l'arc et au laser durant lequel au moins un faisceau laser et au moins un arc électrique sont utilisés presque simultanément. Le procédé permet d'obtenir des joints de soudure rectilignes, hélicoïdaux ou spiralés.
