The method of the present invention allows a first wireless control device that is operable to communicate on a predetermined one of a plurality of channels to establish communication with a second wireless control device that may be communicating on any of the plurality of channels. A beacon message is first transmitted repeatedly by the wireless control device on the predetermined channel. The second wireless control device listens for the beacon message for a predetermined amount of time on each of the plurality of channels. When the second control device receives the beacon message on the predetermined channel, the second control device begins communicating on the predetermined channel. The second wireless device may begin listening for the beacon message in response to powering up.
Le procédé de la présente invention permet à un premier dispositif de commande sans fil servant à communiquer sur une voie prédéterminée appartenant à une multitude de voies, d'établir une communication avec un second dispositif de commande sans fil qui peut être en cours de communication sur une voie quelconque appartenant à la multitude de voies. Un message de balise est transmis d'abord de manière répétée par le dispositif de commande sans fil sur la voie prédéterminée. Le second dispositif de commande sans fil écoute le message de balise pour une période de temps prédéterminée sur chacune des nombreuses voies. Lorsque le second dispositif de commande reçoit le message de balise sur la voie prédéterminée, le second dispositif de commande entame la communication sur la voie prédéterminée. Le second dispositif sans fil peut commencer à écouter le message de balise en réponse à la mise sous tension.
