A frozen top soil fracturing apparatus includes a body having a top and a bottom and a tow coupling secured to the body, whereby the body is coupled to a vehicle for the purpose of being towed. At least three blades depend from the bottom of the body, including a leading ground opening blade aligned with a direction of travel of the body when being towed and adapted to form a groove during forward movement of the body. At least one pair of fracturing blades are spaced rearwardly and equidistant on either side of the leading ground opening blade. A vibrator is mounted on the top of the body and adapted to impart a vibrational force through the body to the blades.
