ABSTRACT In a method of material-removing working of hard objects by means of a pressure medium a bundle of jets, particularly narrow jets, of pressure medium and, either downstream or upstream of said bundle, another bundle of jets, particularly narrow jets, is directed onto said object, and said further bundle of jets is caused to perform a rocking or oscillating motion in a direction which crosses the direction of movement of said bundles of jets, whereby the working rate is improved. In particular, the two bundles of jets are spaced apart by several centimetres, and especially cooling medium is directed towards the working site from intermediate said bundles of jets.
