The present invention provides a method, a network device and a system for allowing for resuming of a a preceding incomplete synchronization session, wherein the preceding incomplete synchronization has been interrupted during its performing. In principle the resuming of the preceding incomplete synchronization session is based on the following operations according to the inventive concept. A communication connection for synchronization of data between a first and a second device is established (steps 250-251). The first and the second device each comprise a predefined set of data records to be synchronized. A first and a second updat identifier are communicated between the first and the second device. The first uptdate identifier specifies a preceding incomplete synchronization session having been performed between them and the second update identifier specifies a preceding incomplete synchronization session having been performed between them. Synchronization related information is exchanged between the first and the second device (steps 252-254).
La présente invention concerne un procédé, un dispositif réseau et un système permettant de reprendre une session de synchronisation incomplète précédente, cette session de synchronisation incomplète précédente ayant été interrompue pendant son exécution. En principe, la reprise de la session de synchronisation incomplète précédente est fondée sur les opérations suivantes, selon le concept de l'invention. Une connexion de communication pour la synchronisation de données entre un premier et un second dispositif est établie. Lesdits premier et second dispositifs comprennent chacun un ensemble prédéfini d'enregistrements de données à synchroniser. Deux identificateurs de mise à jour sont communiqués entre le premier et le second dispositif. Le premier identificateur de mise à jour spécifie une session de synchronisation complète précédente ayant été réalisée entre eux et le second identificateur de mise à jour spécifie une session de synchronisation incomplète précédente ayant été réalisée entre eux. Des informations associées à la synchronisation sont échangées entre le premier et le second dispositif.
