The present invention provides a dispensing system which assists in preventing the oxidation of a product (p) having an oxygen labile component. The system comprises a container (2) having an internal chamber (3) and a neck (4), said neck (4) providing access to the internal chamber (3) of the container, a pump (5) attached to the neck (4) of the container (2), said pump (5) projecting into the internal chamber (3); and a gas producing means (10) attached to the portion of the pump (5) projecting into the container (2). By one or more mechanisms, the gas producing means (10) gradually releases its gas, such as carbon dioxide, nitrogen, or any other gas that is substantially unreactive with the product's labile component. This released gas provides two advantages. First, the gas serves to keep the internal pressure of the system at a constant level. Second, the gas released is one which will not degrade labile components of the product. The ability of this dispensing system to at least partially fill the headspace of the package with a gas that does not readily degrade the labile component of the product, aids in slowing down the degradation of that product. Therefore, since oxygen is not allowed to fully occupy the headspace, the oxidation process is slowed.
La présente invention concerne un système de distribution qui contribue à prévenir l'oxydation d'un produit (p) renfermant un constituant labile d'oxygène. Le système comporte: un contenant (2) présentant une chambre (3) interne et un col (4), ledit col (4) constituant un accès à la chambre (3) interne du contenant; une pompe (5) fixée au col (4) du contenant (2), ladite pompe (5) s'étendant à l'intérieur de la chambre (3) interne; et un moyen (10) de production de gaz fixé à la partie de la pompe (5) s'étendant à l'intérieur du contenant (2). Grâce à un ou plusieurs mécanismes, le moyen (10) de production de gaz libère progressivement son gaz, tel que du dioxyde de carbone, de l'azote, ou tout autre gaz sensiblement inerte par rapport au constituant labile du produit. Ce gaz libéré comporte deux avantages: premièrement, il sert à maintenir la pression interne du système à un niveau constant. Deuxièmement, le gaz libéré est un gaz qui ne dégrade pas les constituants labiles du produit. La capacité du système de distribution à remplir au moins partiellement l'espace supérieur du conditionnement avec un gaz qui ne dégrade pas facilement le constituant labile du produit, contribue à ralentir la dégradation de ce produit. Par conséquent, puisqu'on empêche l'oxygène d'occuper entièrement l'espace supérieur, le procédé d'oxydation est ralenti.
