The invention relates to a method and a device for determining a threshold value (Omax, Omin, OTR) for limiting an output signal of a processing unit to which an input signal is delivered. According to the invention, a level of the input signal is determined and the threshold value (Omax, Omin, OTR) is adjusted in accordance with this level. The adjustment of the threshold value according to the level of the input signal, i.e. the adaptive adjustment of the threshold value, enables transient noises at a level clearly below the maximum value for the threshold value to be limited as well. The use of the inventive method and the inventive device in a hearing aid can therefore significantly increase the comfort of the wearer.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif permettant de déterminer une valeur seuil (O¿maxi?, O¿mini?, O¿TR?) pour limiter un signal de sortie d'une unité de traitement qui reçoit un signal d'entrée. Selon l'invention, on détermine un niveau du signal d'entrée et on règle la valeur seuil (O¿maxi?, O¿mini?, O¿TR?) en fonction du signal d'entrée. La valeur seuil étant réglée, c'est-à-dire adaptée, en fonction du niveau du signal d'entrée, des bruits passagers dont le niveau est nettement inférieur à la valeur maximale de la valeur seuil, peuvent également être limités. Ainsi, l'utilisation du procédé et du dispositif selon l'invention dans un appareil de correction auditive permet d'augmenter nettement le confort du porteur d'appareil de correction auditive.
