The present invention has an object of providing an electronic register with macro key function which can achieve various functions corresponding to seven kinds of code including a mode check function in addition to a limited function of collectively performing a plurality of key processings existing on the keyboard. Seven kinds of code, including the mode check code for checking the operation of the register, in addition to the key code on the keyboard, are set as macro key set data, to the memory corresponding to the macro key on the keyboard. When any one of the seven kinds of code exists in the macro key set data which has been set corresponding to the macro key, processing of the operation mode corresponding to this code is carried out.
