A method of attaining colder temperatures in a refrigerated storage container and a refrigerated storage container. The refrigerated storage container has a closed loop recirculation system which recirculates refrigerant through a compressor, a cooling unit, and an circulation coils. The circulation coils includes a network of conduit extending into a containment cavity which is to be cooled. The method includes the following steps. Firstly, utilizing helium as the refrigerant for the recirculation system. Secondly, utilizing a heat exchange with a flow of nitrogen through the cooling unit to lower the temperature of the helium in preparation for recirculation through the circulation coils.
La présente invention vise une méthode pour atteindre des températures plus basses dans un récipient de stockage réfrigéré, et un récipient de stockage réfrigéré. Le récipient de stockage réfrigéré comporte un système de recirculation en circuit fermé dans lequel le frigorigène retourne dans un compresseur, un refroidisseur et des éléments refroidisseurs. Les éléments refroidisseurs sont constitués d'un réseau de conduites qui débouche sur une capacité qui doit être refroidie. La méthode consiste à : premièrement, utiliser l'hélium comme fluide frigorigène dans le système de recirculation; deuxièmement, réaliser un échange de chaleur avec un écoulement d'azote dans le refroidisseur, de façon à abaisser la température de l'hélium qui se prépare à retourner dans les éléments refroidisseurs.
