A portable audiometer for performing hearing testing enclosed within a patient response mechanism housing is disclosed. The audiometer may include a printed circuit board containing circuitry, plugs or other connectors for wired or wireless headphones and bone conductor, a battery charging unit, and one or more buttons for indicating response to pure tone and other stimuli, including, but not limited to noise, speech, and visual and audio instructions and graphical representations of objects or concepts used in a comprehensive hearing test. The instrument can be connected via a wired or wireless interface to a variety of controlling devices, including PC's, Personal Digital Assistants (PDA's), cellular phones, smartphones, including hybrid phone and PDA, and other devices such as media players, gaming systems, personal audio players, and other devices that can operatively communicate with the portable device.
L'invention concerne un audiomètre portable pour effectuer des examens audiométriques compris dans un boîtier pour les mécanismes de réponse du patient. L'audiomètre peut comporter une carte à circuits imprimés contenant la circuiterie, des prises ou autres connecteurs pour des écouteurs filaires ou sans fil et un transducteur osseux, un chargeur de batterie, et un ou plusieurs boutons indiquant la réponse à des sons purs et autres stimuli, incluant mais ne se limitant pas aux bruits, à la parole, et à des instructions audio et visuelles et des représentations graphiques d'objets ou de concepts utilisés dans un examen audiométrique global. L'instrument peut être connecté via un interface filaire ou sans fil à une pluralité de dispositifs de commande, incluant des ordinateurs personnels, des PDA, des téléphones cellulaires, des téléphones intelligents, y compris des téléphones hybrides et des PDA, ainsi que d'autres dispositifs tels que des lecteurs multimédia, des consoles de jeux, des baladeurs audio, et autres dispositifs qui peuvent communiquer effectivement avec ledit dispositif portable.
