The discomfort associated with toothache and other dental related problems can often be temporarily alleviated until such times as professional help can be obtained, if the sufferer is aware of the remedies available. More often than not, however, this simply is not the case and the victim therefore endures. In addition, the action or inac- tion of the victim many times renders what would normally have been a relatively sim- ple dental procedure into a more complex endeavor typically entailing greater expense and discomfiture. The invention as disclosed herein alleviates some of the above problems by pro- viding a simple means whereby sufferers may quickly obtain suitable information rel- evant to providing temporary relief and consists of an efficient and easy to use informa- tion retrieval system comprising a first base plate containing a plurality of suggested solutions to a variety of commonly encountered dental problems. A second plate con- taining a window cut-out and incorporating a number of corresponding problems isaxially mounted to the first plate and free to rotate about the first plate. The system user first identifies the problem via simple observation, locates the problem on the second plate, aligns the problem with an index mark on the first plate and reads the suggested solution through the window cut-out.
