The present invention relates to a mobile terminal for performing a handover to at least one of a homogeneous and heterogeneous network. Accordingly, media independent handover (MIH) is supported, by which a delay attributed to the occurrence of processing during handover between heterogeneous media- independent networks is reduced. Preferably, the present invention comprises at least one network interface module supporting a predetermined air interface, a heterogeneous network handover module configured to provide convergence of information from the at least one network interface module associated with the at least one of a homogeneous and heterogeneous network into a unified presentation, and a management module configured to process the unified presentation communicated with the heterogeneous network handover module to communicate with the at least one network interface module to facilitate handover.
La présente invention concerne un terminal mobile pour assurer un transfert vers au moins un réseau homogène et/ou hétérogène. Selon l'invention, un transfert indépendant du support (media independent handover / MIH) est assuré, le délai attribué à l'occurrence de traitement au cours du transfert entre les réseaux hétérogènes, indépendants du support, étant réduit. De préférence, l'invention fait intervenir au moins un module d'interface réseau qui supporte une interface hertzienne prédéterminée, un module de transfert de réseau hétérogène conçu pour assurer la convergence d'informations issues du/des module(s) d'interface réseau associé(s) au(x) réseau(x) homogène(s) et/ou hétérogène(s), dans une présentation unifiée, et un module de gestion conçu pour traiter la présentation unifiée communiquée avec le module de transfert de réseau hétérogène pour communiquer avec le(s) module(s) d'interface réseau afin de faciliter le transfert.
