Organic materials which possess outstanding stability to oxidative, thermal or light-induced degradation comprise as stabilizers at least one compound of the formula (I) wherein the general symbols are as defined in claim 1. The compounds of formula I are es- pecially useful as stabilizers for protecting polymers and lubricants against oxidative, thermal or light-induced degradation and as scavengers for oxidized developer in color photographic material.

L'invention concerne des matériaux organiques possédant une stabilité exceptionnelle par rapport à une dégradation oxydative, thermique ou induite par la lumière. Lesdits matériaux comprennent des composés représentés par la formule (I) dans laquelle les symboles généraux sont tels que définis dans la revendication 1. Les composés représentés par la formule (I) sont, en particulier, utilisés comme stabilisateurs permettant de protéger les polymères et les lubrifiants contre une dégradation oxydative, thermique ou induite par la lumière et comme agents de nettoyage destinés à des révélateurs oxydés dans un matériel photographique couleur.
