Resin compositions (A) and (B) are described: wherein resin composition (A) comprises a naturally occurring component or derivative thereof comprising protein, an aromatic hydroxyl compound-aldehyde resin and an amino resin, wherein the naturally occurring component or derivative thereof is chemically bound to the aromatic hydroxyl compound-aldehyde resin to form an ncPF resin and the naturally occurring component or derivative thereof is optionally chemically bound to the amino resin; wherein resin composition (B) comprises a condensation product of a naturally occurring component or derivative thereof, an aromatic hydroxyl compound-aldehyde resin and at least 20 wt% of urea based on the total mass of the resin composition, wherein at least 50wt% of the naturally occurring component or derivative thereof is chemically bound directly or indirectly to the aromatic hydroxyl compound-aldehyde resin (ncPF), and wherein the naturally occurring component or derivative thereof comprises protein. The resin compositions can be used as a binder for lignocellulosic or cellulosic materials which have an excellent combination of low formaldehyde emissions and high strength. Also described are low formaldehyde emissions wood products comprising unique binder combinations.
La présente invention concerne des compositions de résine (A) et (B). La composition de résine (A) comprend un composant d'origine naturelle ou un dérivé de celui-ci comprenant une protéine, un composé hydroxyle aromatique-résine aldéhyde et une résine amino, le composant d'origine naturelle ou le dérivé de celui-ci étant chimiquement lié au composé hydroxyle aromatique-résine aldéhyde pour former une résine ncPF, le composant d'origine naturelle ou le dérivé de celui-ci étant éventuellement chimiquement lié à la résine amino. La composition de résine (B) comprend un produit de condensation d'un composant d'origine naturelle ou d'un dérivé de celui-ci, un composé hydroxyle aromatique-résine aldéhyde et au moins 20 % en poids d'urée sur la base de la masse totale de la composition de résine, au moins 50 % en poids du composant d'origine naturelle ou du dérivé de celui-ci étant chimiquement lié directement ou indirectement au composé hydroxyle aromatique-résine aldéhyde (ncPF), le composant d'origine naturelle ou le dérivé de celui-ci comprenant une protéine. Les compositions de résine peuvent être utilisées comme liant pour des matériaux lignocellulosiques ou cellulosiques présentant une excellente combinaison de propriétés, à savoir de faibles émissions de formaldéhyde et une résistance élevée. Cette invention concerne également des produits ligneux à faibles émissions de formaldéhyde comprenant des combinaisons de liants uniques.
