The present invention provides a foamed and/or aerated substrate for transmucosal and/or transdermal applications. The foamed and/or aerated substrate may be in the form of a film, sheet, strip or wafer. The foamed and/or aerated substrate is suitable for use in applications such as, for example, adhesive denture liners, tooth whitening, and smoking control/cessation. The foamed and/or aerated substrate is polymeric in nature and comprises one or more polymers and one or more foaming agents. Additionally, the foamed and/or aerated substrate may include, but not limited to, one or more plasticizers, hydrophobic barrier agents, tooth whitening agents, antioxidants, preservatives, super-disintegrants or absorbents, flavorants, deodorants, breath freshening agents, colorants, surfactants, film modifiers, cross-linking agents, antimicrobial agents, control release agents, other therapeutic agents, or any combinations thereof.
La présente invention concerne un substrat mousse et/ou cellulaire pour applications transmuqueuses et/ou transdermiques. Le substrat mousse et/ou aéré peut se présenter sous la forme d'un film, d'une feuille, d'une bande ou d'une plaquette. Le substrat mousse et/ou aéré est utilisable dans des applications telles que, par exemple, des revêtements adhésifs pour prothèse dentaire, des produits de blanchiment des dents ou des produits de limitation ou de désaccoutumance du tabac. Le substrat mousse et/ou aéré est de nature polymère et il comprend un ou plusieurs polymères et un ou plusieurs agents moussants. De plus, le substrat mousse et/ou aéré peut inclure, entres autres, un ou plusieurs plastifiants, agents barrière hydrophobes, agents de blanchiment des dents, antioxydants, agents conservateurs, super-désintégrants ou absorbants, aromatisants, déodorants, agents rafraîchisseurs d'haleine, colorants, tensioactifs, modificateurs de film, agents de réticulation, agents antimicrobiens, agents de libération contrôlée, autres agents thérapeutiques ou toute combinaison de ceux-ci.
