A prosthesis assembly for deployment in an aorta to span an aortic aneurysm. The prosthesis assembly has at least first and second members with an end portion of one member to be joined to an end portion of the other member when in and when expanded within a lumen of a patient. Each member has a stent arrangement associated with a graft arrangement. The end portion of one member has at least part of its stent arrangement on the inner surface of its graft arrangement and the end portion of the other member has at least part of its stent arrangement on the inner surface of its graft arrangement. Advantageously two stents are overlapped. The joining portions of the first and second members can have the same diameter.
La présente invention concerne un ensemble prothèse à déployer dans une aorte pour soulager un anévrisme. Cet ensemble prothèse comporte deux éléments (2, 4), une extrémité (12) de l'un des éléments (2) devant s'unir à une extrémité (24) de l'autre élément (4) une fois en place et déployé à l'intérieur d'une lumière d'un patient. Chaque élément (2, 4) comporte un dispositif de stent (10, 25) associé à un dispositif de greffe (8, 26). L'extrémité de l'un des éléments présente au moins une partie de son dispositif de stent sur la face intérieure de son dispositif de greffe, l'extrémité de l'autre élément présentant au moins une partie de son dispositif de stent sur la face intérieure du dispositif de greffe. L'avantage en est que les deux stents se chevauchent. Les zones de jonction des deux éléments peuvent être du même diamètre.
