The design and operating characteristics of this invention is radically different from conventional oil/gas separators. It incorporates a vertical stripping section joined to a horizontal separating section by a 180 degree loop at the bottom of the vertical section. At the end of the horizontal section there is a 90 degree drop which swedges down to the pipe size of the liquid metering section. At the top of the vertical and horizontal section the piping connects to the gas cap side of the separation system. The gas piping runs from the discharge side of the horizontal section to the inlet side of the horizontal where it joins in with the gas piping off of the vertical section. From there it runs through the gas metering section. At the bottom of the 180 degree loop there is a blow-down point for produced sand and debris.
