Catalysts useful for Fischer-Tropsch hydrocarbon synthesis are prepared by adding an aqueous solution of a carbonate salt to an aqueous solution of one or more catalytic metal component salts, under mixing conditions, to form a slurry containing a hydroxy metal carbonate precipitate of the catalytic metal. This slurry is heated to drive off CO2 and change the nature of the hydroxy metal precipitate and form a second precipitate which is composited with the zeolite component of the catalyst. The composite, which may also contain promoter metals and other components, is dried to a moisture content of from 6 to 15 wt. % and then reduced in hydrogen to form the catalyst.

Cette invention concerne des catalyseurs utiles pour la synthèse Fischer-Tropsch des hydrocarbures, que l'on obtient en ajoutant une solution aqueuse de sel carbonate à une solution aqueuse composée d'un ou de plusieurs sels de composants métalliques catalytiques, en conditions de mélange, pour obtenir une suspension épaisse renfermant un précipité carbonaté de métal hydroxy du métal catalytique. On chauffe cette solution épaisse pour en chasser le CO¿2? et modifier la nature du précipité de métal hydroxy et obtenir un second précipité composé du composant zéolite du catalyseur. Ce composite, qui peut également renfermer des métaux promoteurs et autres composants, est séché de manière à ramener la teneur en eau à 6-15 % en poids, puis réduit en hydrogène pour former le catalyseur.
