The invention relates to oral and dental hygiene products consisting of aqueous, aqueous-alcoholic or anhydrous preparations containing an active combination of a water-soluble potassium or strontium salt and eugenol or oil of cloves, for desensitizing sensitive teeth. Said combination contains preferably at least 0.5 wt. % potassium or strontium ions, e.g. in the form of the nitrate, and at least 0.01 wt. % eugenol, preferably in the form of oil of cloves. Desensitizing toothpastes contain an additional 5-50 wt. % of a polishing agent, 1 wt. % thereof being dicalcium phosphate dihydrate and 10-60 wt. % being a humectant, and preferably 0.1-0.5 wt. % magnesium in the form of a dissolved salt and 0.2-2 wt. % monofluorophosphate.

L'invention concerne des agents de soin à usage buccal et dentaire se présentant sous forme de préparations aqueuses, aqueuses-alcooliques ou exemptes d'eau, qui contiennent pour désensibiliser les dents sensibles, une combinaison de principes actifs comprenant un sel de potassium ou de strontium soluble dans l'eau et de l'eugénol ou de l'huile de clous de girofle. Cette combinaison de principes actifs contient de préférence au moins 0,5 % en poids d'ions de potassium ou de strontium, par ex. sous forme de nitrate, et au moins 0,01 % en poids d'eugénol, de préférence sous forme d'huile de clous de girofle. Les dentifrices à action désensibilisante contiennent en outre entre 5 et 50 % en poids d'agent polissant, dont au moins 1 % en poids de dihydrate de phosphate bicalcique et entre 10 et 60 % en poids d'un agent maintenant l'humidification, ainsi qu'au moins entre 0,1 et 0,5 % en poids de magnésium sous forme de sel dissous et entre 0,2 et 2 % en poids de monofluorophosphate.
