ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A water-closet, particularly for use in motor vehicles such as coaches or the like, of the type having a completely closed sewage container. The invention provides a by-pass duct connected to a source of pressurized air, usually already included in the vehicle. The by-pass duct extends to a point close to the bottom of the sewage container whereby the sewage and faecal matter in the container can be aerated by simple means, to reduce annoying odours during the emptying of the tank.
