- 1 - ABSTRACT In a magnetic tape cassette, a sheet-shaped cleaner comprising nonwoven cloth of synthetic fiber on one side thereof is disposed in opposition to a guide roller in such a manner that the magnetic tape is sandwiched between the guide roller and the cleaner and the magnetic surface of the tape contacts the cloth of the cleaner. As a result foreign matter on the surface of the magnetic tape is reliably removed.
