28064-4 ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Disclosed is a medicament for treating an ocular tissue, which comprises (i) an ophthalmologically acceptable diluent and (ii) an effective amount of a complex of an ophthalmological agent and a glucan sulfate, the ophthalmological agent in the complex form being retained at the ocular tissue better than the uncomplexed form. The glucan sulfate such as cyclodextrin sulfate binds the ocular tissue and is used as a vehicle for transporting and keeping the ophthalmological agent in eyes at high concentrations.
