A nutritional composition for diabetics. The composition contains a protein source, a lipid source, and a carbohydrate source. The composition includes a fiber mixture containing a viscous soluble fiber and inulin, a hydrolysate of inulin, or both. The fiber mixture may also contain insoluble fiber. When in liquid form, the nutritional composition has a low viscosity and excellent tube flow rates.
