Registering software controls within a secure operating environment is disclosed. The software controls reside within the operating environment in coordination with a control manager. The manager (Figure 1, # 102) facilitates registration and authorization of new controls. The manager detects that new control has been placed within the operating environment. The manager reads the type of the control. The manager initiates an encode/decode sequence with the control. A key string is exchanged and modified between the manager and the control. Preferably, a random number is generated and added to the key string by the manager (Figure 1, # 106). The manager reads the result of the encode/decode sequence from the control. If the result is acceptable, then the manager adds the control to its control list (Figure 1, # 110). If the result is not acceptable, the manager ignores or shutdowns the control.
La présente invention concerne un système et un procédé permettant d'enregistrer des commandes logicielles dans le cadre d'un environnement d'exploitation sécurisé. Ces commandes logicielles résident dans les limites de l'environnement d'exploitation en coordination avec un gestionnaire de commandes. Ce gestionnaire de commandes, facilite l'enregistrement et l'autorisation des nouvelles commandes, détecte une nouvelle commande placée dans l'environnement d'exploitation, lit le type de commande et lance une séquence de codage/décodage concernant la commande. Une séquence clé est échangée et modifiée entre le gestionnaire et la commande. De préférence, un nombre aléatoire est généré et ajouté à la séquence clé par le gestionnaire. Ce dernier lit alors le résultat de la séquence de codage/décodage rendu par la commande. Si le résultat est acceptable, le gestionnaire ajoute la commande à la liste des commandes dans les limites de l'environnement d'exploitation. Si le résultat n'est pas acceptable, le gestionnaire ignore ou arrête la commande.
