A standing aid chair with a seat consisting of at least two elements (3A, 3B) in the shape of a variable-geometry bracket. The chair has a structural assembly (1) consisting of a base (2) with legs (15), and a frame (6) connected via first coupling members (8) to the first seat element (3A) and via second coupling members (9) to the base (2), each of said coupling members (8, 9) being movable between two end positions by a raising and lowering mechanism. When moved, said first coupling members (8) essentially enable a so-called comfort adjustment of the seat, whereas said second coupling members (9) essentially move the seat from a lowered position to a raised position and vice versa. Said chair is useful as a standing aid.

L'invention concerne un fauteuil élévateur du type comprenant une assise constituée d'au moins deux éléments (3A, 3B) affectant de profil la forme d'une équerre à géométrie variable. Ce fauteuil est caractérisé en ce que le bâti (1) dudit fauteuil est constitué d'une embase (2) équipée de pieds (15), d'un châssis (6) relié par des premiers organes d'accouplement (8), au premier élément (3A) de l'assise et par des seconds organes d'accouplement (9) à l'embase (2), lesdits organes d'accouplement (8, 9) étant chacun déplaçables entre deux positions extrêmes sous l'action du mécanisme de monte et baisse, lesdits premiers organes d'accouplement (8) assurant essentiellement, au cours de leur déplacement, un réglage dit de confort de l'assise, lesdits seconds organes d'accouplement (9) assurant essentiellement le déplacement de l'assise d'une position basse à une position haute et inversement. Application: assistance au levage de personnes.
