BLOOD COLLECTION ASSEMBLY ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention is a plastic container deposited with a coating comprising a diamond composition or covered by a diamond coated barrier label and a method for depositing a diamond coating as a barrier on a plastic container or label. The diamond coating is useful for providing an effective barrier against gas permeability in containers and for extending shelf-life of containers, especially plastic evacuated blood collection devices.
