The present application relates to a method for modulating the growth state of a lung tissue, or a cell thereof, e.g., by ectopically contacting the tissue, in vitro or in vivo, with a hedgehog therapeutic, a ptc therapeutic, or an FGF- 10 therapeutic in an amount effective to alter the rate (promote or inhibit) of proliferation of cells in the lung tissue, e.g., relative to the absence of administeration of the hedgehog therapeutic or ptc therapeutic. The subject method can be used, for example, to modulate the growth state of epithelial and/or mesenchymal cells of a lung tissue, such as may be useful as part of a regimen for prevention of a disease state, or in the treatment of an existing disease state or other damage to the lung tissue.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de modulation de l'état de croissance d'un tissu pulmonaire ou d'une cellule de ce tissu, par exemple, par mise en contact ectopique du tissu, in vitro ou in vivo avec un agent thérapeutique de type hedgehog, un agent thérapeutique de type ptc ou un agent thérapeutique de type FGF-10, en quantité effective pour modifier le taux (activation ou inhibition) de prolifération de cellules dans le tissu pulmonaire, par exemple suite au défaut d'administration de l'agent thérapeutique de type hedgehog ou de l'agent thérapeutique de type ptc. Le procédé selon l'invention peut s'utiliser, par exemple, pour moduler l'état de croissance de cellules épithéliales et/ou mésenchymateuses d'un tissu pulmonaire, ce qui peut être utile dans un schéma posologique de prévention d'une affection ou dans le traitement d'une affection existante ou d'une autre lésion du tissu pulmonaire.
