ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A DNA FRAGMENT ENCODING A RUBBER POLYMERASE AND ITS RELATED PRODUCTS A DNA fragment containing a DNA sequence that encodes rubber polymerase or a fragment thereof is provided, as well as a hybrid vector and a transformed host each containing the DNA fragment. The present invention also provides for a process for the production of rubber in vitro and in vivo by transferring the DNA fragment to a host and culturing the transformed host in an environment that is suitable for the production of rubber.
