A fart containment apparatus which includes a pan-form gas impervious container having a bottom and a peripheral wall which define an interior cavity. An adsorbing medium is disposed within the interior cavity of the container. A porous top covering is secured to the peripheral wall. Flatus passes through the porous top covering into the interior cavity where it is trapped within the gas impervious container and adsorbed by the adsorbing medium.
